Let’s get real. Life has a way of throwing us around. Curve ball after
curve ball life can seem exhausting. Ever have those “when it rains,
it pours” days? Perhaps, weeks…months!
When physical, mental, or emotional pain is present, life can seem like an uphill battle. Did you know during these times you don’t have to suffer? I didn’t either, until I got a glimpse of peace after attending my first yoga class in 1999. At that time, I had no idea what life had in store for me. Since then, I have suffered from bouts of stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. I attended group classes sporadically to feel better as I struggled, yet didn't start practicing regularly until years later. As I practiced more consistently, my soul - my true Self began to emerge. I started to see life with more clarity as I mindfully linked my mind-body-spirit. My relationships improved, my suffering decreased, and I began living with intention according to my values. I discovered my passion and purpose (my dharma) in life to guide and support others in their healing journey, by teaching therapeutic yoga.
I have been teaching therapeutic yoga classes and private yoga therapy sessions for over 4 years. I've served clients with evidence-informed yoga therapy practices in Mobile, AL, Elizabeth City, NC, and most recently in the Natural Care Center at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH), Howard County General Hospital, and Integrace Memory Clinic through the Masters of Science program at MUIH in Laurel, MD. I am here to invite you into a space of empowerment and caring support, where you can heal, grow, and build resiliency from life’s stresses.
One thing is for sure, the sun, like your true Self is always
shining behind the rain clouds.
